Here's a picture of the section of Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) that we are currently frequenting. This area represents maybe 1/4 of the total park area. Fontana Lake is actually the dividing line between 2 great parks. The north shore forms the Souther edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Southern shore forms the northern boundary of Nantahala National Forest.
